New pics....

I try to get pics done of the kids and/or me at least once a year. The ones posted around here were taken today. These are Mommy and her three boys - her three little men. They are the world to me. And from the looks of these pics, they think the same of me.

My cousins from NJ came down for a few days. It was so nice to have my cous here. I missed talking to her so much - we've both been so busy that we haven't really had time to talk. The kids had a total blast and I had time to talk to my cousin and her hubby, which has always been a complete pleasure. I love them all so much and am sooooooo grateful that we found each other after so many years (long story that I won't go into here).

We're doing great! There have been a few large bumps in the road, but we're bouncing back and working it out.

Life as we know it....

You would think that we don't let Cody get any sleep around here....he actually said he was tired and I didn't believe him until I saw for myself.....the best sleeping place in the house is that couch in front of the front windows after lunch when the sun comes through....

Life as we know it around here is going to change a lot this year. From Cody (and possibly) Andrew starting in public school, to me possibly going back to work full-time, to....everything else (that I'm not privy to write about right now)...Crazy. Amongst craziness though, there is some form of sanity, I promise. A few days ago, I was at the stove making yogurt. I had just given Nathan and Andrew pieces of apple to keep them occupied (hello, snack time usually means that they aren't acting up too badly so I can get something done).

They were sitting at the table, I had my back turned away from them, when I heard Nathanael burst out into that great two year old laughter. If he hadn't been wearing a diaper, he would've peed his pants - that's how hard he was laughing. Now, I'm trying to do the yogurt and can't turn around to find out what
he's laughing about, and hey, if he's laughing, nothing can be that bad. He gets quiet for a minute, and then bursts out laughing again. By this time, I'm curious as to what is making him laugh so hard.

As I slowly turn around, he's laughing again and I see why. Below his chair, sits the dog. He has an apple piece in his hand. He takes a bite from the piece, which he is quiet for and then puts the apple piece down to the dog where she licks it and takes a bite - much to Nathan's glee - which makes him laugh hysterically. Then, he takes a bite. Ewwwwww. Now if he had been my first and only child, I would've been washing his mouth out with Listerine or something. However, I've become more laid back as a parent with three boys...there's not much that grosses me out anymore.

He has finally given up the pacifier as well...when we were visiting at my dad's house this past weekend, he threw his "pappy" at Andrew and lost it. We didn't have a spare, and I refuse to buy any more since I think at 2 years and some change, he really doesn't need them anymore.

So, Nathan has found the batman mask - and since his nickname is "Bug" (see a previous post) - that would make him -------- BATBUG!!!! Tee-hee.

Then he decided to try his hand at the harmonica....no handed....he must have his mother and grandfather's musical abilities....

And of course, this page wouldn't be complete without my poor middle child...Andrew. Actually, no one can ever feel sorry for him.
He makes himself known in every crowd, and loves and talks to everyone. He has proven to be somewhat devious at times, but is most of the time easily corrected. His speech is so much improved, and he has started working on letter recognition and writing his name. He is quite proud of himself, as he well should be.
