Our Adventures at Grandpa's

Recently, me and the kids took a trip to my dad's house in Ayden, NC. The kids had a blast...as did I! They were able to play with the ponies, cats, and multiple dogs that my dad and stepmother own.
The biggest scare was Andrew getting kicked in the head and upper chest the first five minutes after our arrival. He's okay and did not sustain any permanent damage, but he has quite a story to tell now. He sustained a small cut to the corner of one eye, scrapes on his nose, a partial fat lip, larger open wound to his chin, and some scrapes on his chest. We are all just praising God that it wasn't any worse. There is a golf cart that my dad and Dee use to get around the farm with. Cody learned how to use it as an alternative for a NASCAR race car and he drove it around quite frequently while we were there.

After coming back home, Dan took a much needed day off and we went to the Durham Life and Science Museum. By the end of the day, we were all exhausted....I didn't realize the museum was sooooooooo big. They had a lot of larger outdoor exhibits, so we did a lot of walking. The kids had a good time though and everyone was way overtired by the time we left.
Our little Nathanael is now two years old. His birthday was this past week. I'm going to do a cake for him on Sunday and maybe have some family over. Nothing big. He doesn't even realize that he had a birthday and is wondering why everyone keeps sending him things to open....he'll get into the idea eventually.
